How’s your week going so far? Aren’t you glad that it’s the weekend? I know I am. God knows I’ve been working my butt off this week! I can’t wait to relax and walk around in my jammies all day.
Anyway, I just want to talk about the little changes that has been happening to ze blog as of late. First of all, I’d like to thank my husband who has been super patient in designing my new avatar or what we WordPress peeps call, Gravatar. The one that you see below is actually the third study that he came up with. We had to road test the first two studies to see what people thought about it, and the general feedback was, the designs didn’t look anything at all like me. My husband didn’t want to feel defeated about the whole thing so he spent the entire day vectorizing my face and I think he finally nailed it with this one! It’s a really close match. Although I was whining about the overly plucked eyebrows but since he gave me a stern look…umm…never mind! Third study approved! Yes, that’s me, curly hair, glasses and all… just imagine my eyebrows to be a lot fuller in person. Those were my brows circa 1990.
I’d also like to thank him for my blog header which also went through quite a number of revisions in terms of color and design. I was contemplating on writing a witty line to describe what the blog is about. Mind you, I had a long list. But you know why I scrapped the whole thing? I prayed about it. Yes I did. Some people pray for health, blessings and money. I prayed about what to put on my blog sub-heading. I’d like to think of God as someone who cares about the littlest things that matter to us.
And you know what? That very same day, I happened to stumble on a message somewhere. I wish I remember where I saw it. It went something like “You don’t need a lot of words. You alone are enough”. Of course, that line was pertaining to a totally different subject matter altogether, but I decided to take it as a sign. So it’s just “I am Aimee Diego”, no witty blog catch phrases, no labels…just plain old me.
But for a little creative visualization, the husband thought that it would be nice to drop in symbols of the kind of things that I’ve blogged about in the past year. He added visuals suggestive of motherhood, books, biking, food and writing which are pretty much some of the things I’ve been rambling about in this little nook in cyberspace. I think it was sweet of him to throw those in. I also love that little detail he did with the glasses. So if you need to have anything designed, feel free to drop me an email. I’m sort of acting as his Manager. haha.
Also, I’m thrilled that my blog is now a dot com! I know that this is the second time that I’ve mentioned it in my blog, but forgive me, I just want to bask in the moment. I’ve been contemplating on doing it for quite a while but didn’t want to do it right away unless I was really serious in keeping this blog. So it took almost a year of WordPress blogging and connecting with different people that made me realize, hey I think I can actually do this. So dot com it is!
And as I mentioned earlier, the blog is turning a year, next month to be exact. And I’m cooking up a few sweet surprises to celebrate my blog’s first blogversary so stay tuned for that.
Lastly, I am now opening up this blog to guest bloggers who want to share their posts. Posts have to be in English and should fall under the following categories:

This blog has obviously been busy as a bee. But hey, change is good right? I do hope you’re liking the changes. Thank you all for visiting my blog. Your comments and “likes” are what has kept me going.
